Something is coming for Caleb Rivers' Ravenswood friends and not everyone is going to escape safely.

Caleb's (Tyler Blackburn) quick trip to Ravenswood took an alarming turn in just one day, a turn that may result in the death of Miranda (Nicole Gale Anderson), the girl he was trying to help settle in with her undeniably creepy uncle, Raymond Collins (Steven Cabral).

After discovering that he, Remy (Britne Oldford), Miranda, and the twins Luke (Brett Dier) and Olivia (Merritt Patterson) are inextricably linked with a curse that takes it's victims in groups of five, Caleb and his new friends took a plunge into the river.

However, how many of them will make it out of the water alive? A new promo promises that the curse will claim it's first victim while a sneak peek Mrs. Grunwald (Meg Foster) asks Raymond how many bodies he thought he would be picking up after the accident.

"There is a supernatural element." Anderson told E!. "I can't say specifically what it is in relation to, but in episode 2, everyone will find out [Miranda's] connection to the supernatural realm."

Is she a ghost? Could she somehow posses the ability to come back to life? Will this also explain why she keeps seeing the very damp - and very dead - girl? Also, what does her uncle know about the curse that he is not sharing?

In order to further understand the origins of the curse, E! claims viewers can expect to start seeing flashbacks to 1917, the year Caleb and Miranda's lookalikes seem to have died.

Ravenswood airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC Family.
