Teen Wolf fans have grown used to seeing Allison Argent deftly wield a bow and arrow but the Katniss of the werewolf world will be picking up a new weapon in season 3B.

A new photo from the set of the teen supernatural drama shows Allison (Crystal Reed) hefting a samurai's Katana sword instead of her usual archery equipment, according to MTV. Moving in synch with a double, Allison looks more than capable of doing some serious damage with her new blade - all while wearing a skirt.

The news that the hunter has taken up a Japanese weapon isn't surprising considering the Asian influences that will prevail during the second half of the MTV series' third season.

"We're heading into a new mythology based on the Kitsune myth, which some people might know a little bit about," said series creator Jeff Davis at Comic-Con, according to E!. "It is a very, very fascinating Japanese shapeshifter myth about the were-fox and the trickster spirit."

Along with the kitsune, viewers can expect to see an extremely creepy sounding Nogitsune, and at least one Yakuza warrior thrown into the mix as the Nemeton regains its power.

In the meantime, Allison, Scott (Tyler Posey), and Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) will have to battle the after effects of their triple succeed ritual. Check out the Allison-centric promo below to see how the Beacon Hills teen is dealing with the fallout form her brief, but chilly, death.
