Hannibal fans can now feast their eyes on a brand new teaser for season 2 of the cannibalistic thriller.

Dr. Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) is back in the kitchen, carefully selecting a new recipe to the lilt of classical music. The psychiatrist carefully dons an apron and mixes herbs before unveiling the main staple of his next culinary endeavor - a human leg, foot and all.

Bon appétit.

The footage heralds the season 2 premiere, "Kaiseki," which is scheduled to air on Feb. 28. Although numerous behind-the-scenes photos have found their way onto Twitter courtesy of series creator Bryan Fuller and his crew, viewers have been anxiously awaiting a full trailer. For now, however, it looks like they will just have to be contented with this short glimpse of their antihero.

When Hannibal picks up, the entire cast of characters will still be feeling the repercussions of the season 1 finale, "Savourex." With Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) locked away at the Baltimore Hospital for the Criminally Insane, Hannibal is allowed to roam free while Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) is under fire due to Will's alleged crimes.

"Hannibal Lecter has won this round, certainly," Fuller said of season 1, according to TV Guide. "But one of the exciting things moving forward with Season 2 is that Will has hit rock bottom. One of the great gifts that the universe can give somebody in a tumultuous state of mind is for them to hit rock bottom and be free. Now, Will has nothing to lose, and he will be a very dangerous dance partner for Hannibal Lecter."

Hannibal returns to NBC on Feb. 28 at 10 p.m. ET.
