In a recent interview Juliana Margulies revealed that Alicia and Diane would become closer during the course of season 5 of The Good Wife.

As the season has unraveled thus far with Alicia and Cary betraying Will and Diane to start their own firm, things really heated up and it seemed like the duo had severed ties with their bosses for good. But in a recent interview with W magazine, Margulies suggested that a huge turn of events would bring Diane and Alicia closer.

"It's going to get horribly tense and it's going to be pretty devastating, but I can't express it because it will ruin it for everybody," she said. "What I can say is that we take a very big turn and an event brings Diane and Alicia closer. This is what I've always wanted because they're two such strong women that women connect to, and I hated that the two strong women on the show weren't friends."

Another relationship that might be on its way to mending, is that between Kalinda and Cary. In the latest episode, We the Juries, Cary still seemed to be bitter about the past and misled Kalinda about a Lockhart/Gardner client so that he could nab him for his and Alicia's new firm.

Now it also seems like Kalinda might be rekindling her romance with Cary. Co-creator Michelle King suggested that the possibility of a relationship between the two will be put to the test.

"Can they pursue each other? Can they sleep with each other and make that exist?" she said.

She went on to suggest that Cary needs to build on the qualities that first drew Kalinda to him.

"What I liked about it is that Kalinda saw a Cary that had balls and was really attracted to that. So Cary's going to want to live up to that Kalinda idea of who he is. Cary as a character is sweet, too, but he needs to harden himself," Michelle said.
