As the march through the final episodes continues, shooting for CBS' hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother will officially wrap by the end of this week.

The Mother Dies in Final Episode?

The  final episode of the show will finish filming on Friday, Feb. 28, according to show co-creator Craig Thomas.

While talking about the Monday, Feb. 24 episode on Twitter, which involved the gang trying to cure Barney's hangover in time for wedding photos on his and Robin's big day, Thomas joked that the cast and crew needed to find their own hangover cures after attending the show's wrap party on Saturday, Feb. 22.

Marshall Not Appearing In Series Finale Scenes?

"Tonight's ep is 'RALLY,' about getting over a hang-over, which a lot of the #HIMYM staff researched after our wrap party Saturday night," he tweeted Monday.

One minute later, he continued his statement, clarifying that while the wrap party occurred, the show is still shooting, and will wrap up production on Friday, Feb. 28.

"{P.S. -We still have three shoot days left, our wrap party happened early! We REALLY wrap this Friday at around 6...insane! #HIMYM)," he added.

The cast and crew have all remained fairly tight-lipped about what to expect in the series finale episode, though the cast has all been in agreement that the way the story ends is unexpected and sad.

"It's more complicated than I thought-it's not just a simple, one-word ending," Neil Patrick Harris, who plays Barney on the series, revealed when the case appeared on CBS' The Talk back in January. "I think that our fans who have stuck with us will really appreciate all the details."

Alyson Hannigan, who plays Lily, confirmed that the finale is going to be heartbreaking by posting about it after finishing the final table read. Her script was surrounded by tissues.

"Umm...so this is how the last HIMYM table read went for me. #sorrytrees," she wrote on Feb. 14.

How I Met Your Mother continues its final episodes Monday, March 3 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
