Day 1 of the NCAA's Men's Tournament kicked off Thursday and fans' brackets have already been destroyed due to big upsets.

The No.11 seed Dayton Flyers knocked off No. 6 Ohio State after an intense back-and-forth game that featured 15 lead changes, ending with a 60-59 Dayton victory.

"I guess they called us the little brother, or whatever," Flyers guard Jordan Sibert said. "We can't be called that anymore."

"To be able to go out there and play with this group of guys, to be able to come up with this win, it's unbelievable," Sibert said.

The Flyers of the Atlantic-10 division, who hold a record of 24-10 have advanced to play No. 3 Syracuse in a South Region matchup on Saturday.

Harvard University was the second team of the day to knock off a top seed, knocking No. 5 seed Cincinatti after a 61-57 victory. Last year, Harvard upset No. 3 New Mexico, and Thursday's win became the first time an Ivy League Team won back-to-back NCAA Tournament games in consecutive years since 1983-1984.

''I've heard this before where there really aren't upsets anymore,'' Harvard coach Tommy Amaker said. ''There may be some surprises, but I just think when you're looking at seeds and if you're playing this time of year, you're probably a pretty good basketball team.''

No. 8 Pittsburgh also knocked off No. 8 Colorado in a blowout score of 77-48. Pitt will go onto play the Florida Gators Saturday.
