As the teams on The Amazing Race: All-Stars head into the final legs of the competition, alliances could form that would make for a more intense half of the season.

Potential Winners of Season 24 Revealed?

The season has been relatively tame as the teams have mainly kept their rivalries at bay, but as the competition inches closer to the final leg, the competition could heat up as teams finally begin to form alliances in an effort to knock others out of the competition.

The last leg of the race saw the competition begin to heat up a bit more between "The Afghanimals" Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, and Cowboy brothers Jet and Cord McCoy as they raced for first place. The leg also saw country singers Caroline Cutbirth and Jen Wayne arrive last, but get saved from elimination. Due to an earlier spoiler which showed they would need to complete a Speed Bump in Rome, Italy, teams are going to head there now that they've finished their two legs in Sri Lanka.

The Afghanimals 'Not Worried About Other Teams?'

The seven teams heading to Rome are: Temory and Zadran, The Cowboys, Cutbirth and Wayne, Harlem Globetrotters Herbert 'Flight Time' Lang and Nathan 'Big Easy' Lofton, Engaged couple John Erck and Jessica Hoel, Father/Son Cancer Survivors Dave and Connor O'Leary, and Big Brother newlyweds Brendon Villegas and Rachel Reilly.

On their twitter accounts, some of the competitors seem to allude to potential alliances they may have formed over the course of the season, which they could have used to help knock out some of the stronger teams.

Since the race, Leo Temory, and Connor O'Leary have joked on Twitter about the two legs they ran in Sri Lanka, making plans to go back there with eliminated contestants Natalie and Nadiya Anderson, as well as joking about an exchange where they referred to O'Leary's father, Dave.

"@Coleary00 I still love you I was kidding #brother #family," Temory tweeted March 23.

"@LeoTemory that cut me to the core I hope you know. Dad might ground you, just a heads up," O'Leary replied.

"@Coleary00 haha hey that's what big brothers are for! Tell dad I miss him and say hello," Temory later added.

Alluding to being like brothers could detail a closer relationship between the two teams that may show itself in later legs. Though Dave and Connor are not known for using dirty tactics to win legs, an alliance with Leo and Jamal could put a major target on their backs, as the Afghani cousins were known for their lying and scheming during their original season.

Another alliance that appears to have surfaced via Twitter is one between the Globetrotters and Country singers, as Lang recently tweeted a photo of himself with Wayne as she celebrated her 21st birthday.

"Happy 21st birthday @jenwayne," he tweeted April 1.

An alliance between the two teams was also previously hinted at when the country singers went with fellow eliminated contestant Mallory Ervin to a Globetrotters game, posing for a photo with Lang afterwards.

The Amazing Race airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
