With the premiere of The Amazing Race All-Stars less than a week away, fans of the show are gearing up to see some very familiar faces once again, including one team that has decided to run again after just finishing their initial season.

Natalie and Nadiya Boast Their 'Big Advantage'

Cousins Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, collectively known as 'The Afghanimals' on Season 23, are back for a second race around the world, and in a pre-race interview with CBS, they revealed that they have a big advantage over other returning teams.

"Coming fresh off the last season of the race, and now being back out into All-Stars, I mean I think that's having an advantage," Zadran, 26, said. "...There hasn't been a day for Leo and I that's gone by where we haven't thought 'What if? Maybe we could have changed this or changed that.' I mean, we were so close to the million dollars, yet so far away, and to just be back to redeem ourselves means everything."

The cousins also hinted that they wouldn't be too different from the team they were last time, because even though they weren't liked by their fellow racers before, they proved they weren't an easy team to get rid of.

"Teams were kind of threatened by us...they tried several times to take us out," Temory, 27 said. "We were U-Turned twice, the only team ever to get U-Turned twice and not get eliminated."

The cousins were previously U-Turned during the 5th leg of their initial season, which forced them to complete an additional task, which slowed them down and could have forced their elimination from the race. However, they finished quickly, and as a result were then able to U-Turn the team who was eventually eliminated that leg. They also faced the dreaded U-Turn in the Race's 8th leg, but once again made it through, before being eliminated in the 11th leg, placing 4th.

Zadran hinted more that the team's strategy had more to do with how they could improve themselves, rather than how they could improve their potential relationships with other racers.

"Let's be realistic, I mean there wasn't a team that took us out, we took our own selves out on the last race, so we're going to try to avoid making the mental mistakes we did last time," he said. "Trying to read the clue and understand it, and then start running, not read it, start running, and just figure out we ran 30 minutes in the wrong direction and go back to point A."

"This should be a walk in the park," Temory added.
