The upcoming season 3 finale of Once Upon a Time will set up the show for a new journey on season 4, and it might have something to do with a portal.

Kristen Bell As Anna From Frozen To Appear In Future Episode?

ABC will air the last two episodes of Once Upon a Time season 3 as a two-hour finale, though co-creator Edward Kitsis assured TVLine recently that it won't just be two episodes randomly put together.

The two-hour airing is "not just two episodes crammed together in one night," Kitsis says in the report. "It was written as a two-hour movie, and it will not only complete the arc of this season, but it will absolutely set up next season." The report notes that it is similar to how the season 2 finale set up Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and the gang to travel to Neverland. However, it won't be that similar to the season 2 finale.

"We're not getting on a boat this time," says fellow co-creator Adam Horowitz, "but seeds for Season 4 are planted."

The final episode won't just be set up for season 4, however. Kitsis reveals in the report that "there will be a wedding," though it's not clear who is involved in the big ceremony.

Once Upon a Time season 3 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
