Despite following Nick's (Blake Berris) earlier plans to leave town and take her daughter Ariana with her, Gabi (Camila Banus) may have a change of heart following his murder on Days of Our Lives.

Lucas Guilty of Nick's Murder?

After getting caught up with Nick again, Gabi was making plans to skip town with her daughter, and had arranged a custody agreement that wouldn't allow the young girl to be seen by her biological father, Will (Guy Wilson), stepfather Sonny (Freddie Smith), or any other members of her extended family, including her grandparents, great-grandparents, and aunts and uncles. Now that Nick has been murdered, however, Gabi may choose to change the agreement -- allowing for the extended family to have more access to her daughter, despite still having plans to leave.

Her change of heart could open her up to being more of a suspect for Nick's murder however as well. Not only did she reveal on the day of his murder that she was only following what he said because she was scared of what he could do to her otherwise, but the police could see her change of heart as a means to ensure her daughter is cared for if she winds up in prison for murder.

Daniel Issues Nicole An Ultimatum?

Outside of the investigation and Gabi's sudden change of heart, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Eric (Greg Vaughan) are fully planning to go ahead with their wedding -- though obstacles still stand in their way. Nicole is trying to find a way to get around Daniel's (Shawn Christian) ultimatum that she tell Eric the truth about his ability to join the priesthood again, and Eric is dealing with opposition from his relatives. Not only does his mother, Marlena (Deidre Hall) not trust Nicole or approve of her, neither does his sister, Sami (Alison Sweeney). In fact, her disapproval will result in a nasty confrontation between the siblings, as she will make her feelings about the impending nuptials known.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
