Ryan Reynolds (The Proposal, Buried) and Blake Lively (The Town, Gossip Girl) made headlines in early May 2014 for their appearance at The Cannes Film Festival.

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively Starring Together Again?

The pair made quite an entrance for the premiere of Reynolds's film The Captive. Lively drew notice with her black and white Gucci ensemble. Reynolds's film, on the other hand, received a less than favorable reception.

 Aside from their public appearance together, Reynolds and Lively seem to be working hard to keep their life together as private as possible. Reynolds has not done an interview since the festival and Lively did a brief one with NBC's Extra TV in May 2014. In the interview with A.J. Calloway, Lively discusses ice cream sundaes and quiet evenings with Reynolds. Even then, however, she spends more time elaborating on the kind of sundae she consumed than her date to the ice cream shop.

The two are often seen together in public and enjoy quiet time together, but even the clever, fast-talking Reynolds, who has joked about his background and childhood, prefers to separate his adult personal life from his professional one.

In an April 2014 interview, Reynolds agreed with the comment that his wife was "wonderful", but chose not to elaborate on their relationship. He seemed more open to lengthy discussion of other subjects, including transgressions and how he became an actor.

Hollywood couples often struggle to keep their private lives out of the spotlight. It is particularly difficult for couples like Reynolds and Lively, who are both high-profile actors.

Nonetheless, their attempt at maintaining a private family life seems to be working so far. They are one of the couples in Hollywood fans appear to favor, in spite of the limited gossip that surrounds them.
