Despite him walking away unharmed, Hollywood Life reported on Tuesday that his girlfriend is really concerned about his safety now. The shooting freaked her out.

The site's source revealed, "Karrueche told him that she was getting a million dollar life insurance policy on him," adding, "She was absolutely serious too. She wasn't playing and she had been researching it online and filling out the enrollment forms right in front of him."

Tran's admission apparently made Brown realize his safety is extremely important.

"In that very moment, he woke up. He realized that Karrueche was real serious about his safety much more than he was. In that moment he knew that his life could be gone in the blink of an eye and that's when he decided to take action," the source further shared.

Brown is no longer going to play gigs at venues that have a history of violence since according to the source he knows he cannot control others, but he can control the environments he puts himself in.

"He's hoping that his fans understand that his decision is bigger than music. We're talking life and death here and he thinks he made the right decision by not performing in certain venues," the source concluded.
