Kathy Griffin made a joke about Demi Lovato cutting that didn't have many people laughing. The 51 year-old comedian was introducing Jimmy Kimmel onto her show-- "Kathy," when she took at jab at the former Disney star. 

Griffin, who was originally poking fun at herself, did not hold back her controversial jesters. Not only ridicule Lovato, she also poked fun at the former "Hannah Montana" star, Miley Cyrus.

"I'm the person [they] call if Demi Lovato is cutting, or if Miley Cyrus flashed her crotch again, and it's too breezy down there," she said regarding the fact that she has been on Kimmel's late-night show 33 times, usually as a last minute replacement.

The audience at the show chucked, but many Lovato fans were not happy at all. 

"Kathy Griffin is an old tart who's mad Demi is beautiful and funny without having to rehearse jokes others wrote for her," one user tweeted.

"Truly disappointed with @kathygriffin making a joke of @ddlovato's struggles with self-harm, there's nothing funny about it," another wrote.

Lovato was famously checked into rehab in 2010 for emotional and physical problems she had been tackling for years. The 19 year-old singer and actress battled eating disorders, cutting, and was diagnosed with bi-polar disease. 

Lovato admits that she has come a long way, but still continues to struggle. 

"It's a daily thing; you don't get time off from it," she told Cosmo magazine. "And if I feel myself slipping back into old patterns, I have to ask others for help, which is hard for me to learn, because I really like doing everything on my own."

Lovato made an amazing comeback last year with her album, "Unbroken" and is now a judge on "X-Factor."
