MTV's 16 and Pregnant alum Catelynn Lowell and boyfriend Tyler Baltierra made a difficult decision when they got pregnant in high school and decided to give the baby up for adoption.

Five years later and the couple are pregnant again, this time by choice. The two announced earlier this month that they are expecting and the adoption advocates are happy to report that the plan to keep their second child.

While the couple is happy about the pregnancy, they received criticism from fellow MTV alum Farrah Abraham shortly after the announcement. Abraham believes they are making a poor decision too young, though Lowell and Baltierra quickly shot back, defending their right to start a family in their own way.

If Lowell's Instagram is any indication, it seems that she and Baltierra are prepping for parenthood with some fury friends.

This morning Lowell posted a photo of the couple's Doberman with the caption "A man's best friend." The post received over two thousand responses within the first hour.

Lowell and Baltierra recently renovated their home, and brought their three dogs along with them when they moved in earlier this month. The Doberman featured in the Instagram photo is Caesar. The pair also have a new Doberman named Juno and a little Chihuahua called Caddy.

Lowell is due to give birth sometime in January 2015, though they don't know yet if it will be a boy or a girl.
