Some big changes are about to take place on Switched at Birth especially for Toby when he comes back from Iceland as a new man.

Someone Will Go Into 'Critical Condition'

On Sunday, TV Line posted an interview with executive producer Lizzy Weiss, who mentioned that after Toby went out of the country after getting his heart broken, things will likely get better for him- at least for the most part.

"When you go on a trip like that- international, alone, after a broke heart- we wanted to be honest to what that does and doesn't do," Weiss said. "It does give him perspective. It does make him feel better about a lot of things."

While Toby might start looking on the bright side more, there will likely still be some extra baggage hanging on to him.

"But it's not a 100 percent fix," Weiss said. "He comes back with a new look, I will say. He's matured a little bit. He's a little bit older. But he's still figuring out what his plan is. We do have someone who is circling him and we do have a new passion of his."

The producer then opened up on Toby's possible love interest, who Weiss is looking forward to on the series.

"[Rachel Shenton is] awesome," Weiss said. "I'm really excited about her. We don't have anyone like her on our show. She's adorable and has a different kind of flavor."

Switched at Birth airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
