Switched at Birth is reportedly about to take on a tragic turn as someone might be in the process of dying.

Mary Beth Does Something Nice For Travis After He Receives Bad News

On Saturday, Carter Matt reported that the series will likely get more emotional in the episode called "The Image Disappears," premiering on July 14. Apparently, the two families are going to have to help each other out when someone gets hurt although they might turn against each other instead.

According to the site, a loved one will be in "critical condition." While this is happening, there will be blame placed on one another as everyone will have to make a decision. As the tragedy strikes, "lives are forever changed."

Considering that there are still a number of episodes left in the series, there is a possibility that the families will be able to pull through this. But if they do, it could take a while and might even last for the rest of the season depending on what takes place.

Since it'll be a while until this episode airs, it leaves a number of possibilities on who will the one in the critical condition. As for the next episode this Monday, Mary Beth is going to try to help out Travis when he receives disappointing news.

A sneak peek of the episode has Travis telling Mary Beth that he wanted to go see a football game that featured Derrick Coleman, a deaf football player. When it doesn't work out, his friend tries to give him a good day.

Switched at Birth airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
