Jack Coleman Is "Back" As 'HRG' For Heroes Reboot

Christopher Eccleston, who played Peter Petrelli's (Milo Ventimiglia) mentor Claude Rains in the first season of Heroes, said that he would be interested in returning for Heroes Reborn. MTV spoke with Eccleston on the red carpet for his new HBO show The Leftovers, where he revealed his thoughts on the character and the reboot.

"Of course, yeah, I had a great time on the show!" Eccleston said when asked if he would return for Heroes Reborn. "Yeah. I'd always be interested. That was a great character. I love that guy."

Milo Ventimiglia Reveals Whether Or Not He Will Be Returning for Heroes Reboot

The Rains character was one of the more intriguing of the first season of Heroes as his backstory included him being shot and left for dead by the Company but then resurfacing years later and mentoring Peter Petrelli.

Very few details are known about Heroes Reborn, other than its status as a 13-episode reboot and the fact that it will air in 2015. It was recently announced that Jack Coleman, who played Noah Bennet a.k.a. HRG in the NBC series, would be returning as his character in Heroes Reborn.

Other stars have denied reappearing in Heroes Reborn, such as Ventimiglia and Hayden Panettiere, who played cheerleader Claire Bennet.

Heroes Reborn is scheduled to air on NBC in 2015, though the network has not yet announced a specific premiere date. It will air as a 13-episode standalone miniseries.
