Barbie's Father Reveals 'Unexpected' Twist To The Main Character on Under the Dome

Meanwhile, the residents of Chester's Mill will be dealing with a whole other egg problem - butterfly eggs. In the next episode of Under the Dome, titled Infestation, Barbie (Mike Vogel) will be teaming up with Rebecca (Karla Crome) in order to protect the town's food supply in good condition. The young schoolteacher discovers that an infestation of butterfly eggs have been left on the town's crops, and Barbie risks his life in order to help her and the town.

CBS has also released plot synopses for the third and fourth episodes of the season, and things seem to be going from bad to worse in Chester's Mill. In the third episode of the season, titled Force Majeure, the doomed town finally has a rainstorm but that soon changes into dangerous acid rain. Tensions will rise as Big Jim (Dean Norris) holds a census in order to determine how long they can sustain themselves with limited supplies.

In episode four, titled Revelation, conditions get so bad in Chester's Mill that Big Jim and Rebecca consider the prospect of population control, which ultimately "drives a wedge" between Barbie and Julia.

The residents of Chester's Mill do not seem to have any hope of salvation any time soon, but anything is possible.

Under the Dome airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on CBS.
