As the finale of season 2 of Beauty and the Beast is right here, fans or on the edge of their seats trying as the final face-off between Vincent (Jay Ryan) and Gabe (Sendhil Ramamurthy) is to take place. And it seems like there might be some major casualties in the finale.

Catherine In A Catch-22 Situation, Can Only Stop Gabe By Killing Vincent?

In a an interview with TVGuide dated July 5, The CW show's executive producer, Brad Kern, spoke about fans can expect from the conclusion of this chapter.

When J.T. (Austin Basis) and Tess' (Nina Lisandrello) relationship was brought up and Kern was asked about its future in season 3, the producer hinted at the possibility of things going awry suggesting that their future hinged on if they could "survive the finale."

"The most fun part of this job is when you discover things. Austin and Nina are terrific, but together they just have chemistry and it was a pleasant surprise," he said. "[CW president] Mark Pedowitz felt the same way. He was against it at first, but then saw it. It's been fun to write, but their ability to continue on in Season 3 depends upon their ability to survive the finale."

This begged the question of the possibilities of some casualties -- probably J.T. and Tess -- in the finale.

"It's definitely safe to say that there will be casualties," Kern replied.

This seems to corroborate Enstars' speculation about J.T. being scapegoated by Gabe to get to Vincent in the finale.

In the recently released preview for the episode, titled Deja Vu, Gabe, who has now acquired beastly qualities is out for blood and will do anything to get to Vincent. In the clip he is seen threatening by suggesting that he will "kill all the people that matter to Vincent" to bring him out of hiding. J.T. is seen a few times initially, suggesting that Gabe will only stop at killing Vincent as things were getting more intense. But as soon as Gabe is heard stating that he will attack Vincent's closest friends, J.T.'s bloody glasses are seen on the floor, and somebody black boot is seen crushing them. This could very well mean that J.T. could be one of Gabe's victims.

Deja Vu will air on The CW at 8 p.m. on July 7.
