Supernatural's Winchester brothers have officially returned to their monster slaying duties.

Second Female Character Added For 'Supernatural' Episode 'Soul Survivor', Who Snagged The Part?

Jared Padalecki (Sam) and Jensen Ackles (Dean) kicked off filming for Supernatural season 10 on Tuesday in Vancouver.

"GOO[D] Morning Fandamily," tweeted Russ Hamilton, Supernatural's location manager, on Tuesday morning. "Who's ready for day 1 of Supernatural Season 10? The Cameras roll in less than 2 hours."

Although the CW drama has yet to shoot for the Oct. 7 premiere, the series started production with episode 3. Titled "Soul Survivor," the upcoming episode will see Ackles take another spin in the director's chair.

"Tomorrow: first day of shooting #Supernatural Season 10. Heard the director's kind of a demon," joked Supernatural writer Robbie Thompson on Monday, referencing Dean Winchester's current demon problem.

It is currently unknown whether or not Dean will still be flashing black eyes by time "Soul Survivor" roles around, but it seems unlikely that Sam or Castiel (Misha Collins) will be able to whip up a cure for the Mark of Cain and reverse Dean's death in just a few short episodes.
