After news came out that the Fifty Shades of Grey trailer was being released on July 24, now comes news where fans can see the highly anticipated clip first.

Author EL James tweeted on July 9, "Hold on to your hats folks. You'll get your first look at the FSoG movie trailer on July 24. I've had a sneak peek and WOW! #WeAimToPlease"

Now, BroadwayWorld.com reports that stars Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) and Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey) will be on the The Today Show on Thursday, July 24 to premiere an exclusive movie clip from the film.

The film just wrapped a few months ago with an expected release date of around Valentine's Day 2015.

Fans were getting worried that they wouldn't get a Fifty Shades trailer before September 2014 because of a new report that stated that the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) made some changes about the timeline on when movie trailers can be released. Now, the MPAA won't allow movie trailers to be released more than five months ahead of the scheduled film.

Although no one has seen the film yet, star Johnson's dad Don thinks this will just be a "blip" in his daughter's long career. She also just wrapped the Johnny Depp film formerly titled Black Mass.

"I can tell you this: Dakota is a gifted, gifted actress," Don Johnson told The Huffington Post. "And this will be a blip in a long line of parts where she kills it. She is the authentic article and I am exceedingly proud of her."
