As filming for Terminator: Genesis is currently underway, a new behind-the-scenes clip from San Francisco was revealed from the shoot taking place in the city over August 4 and 5.
While SFGate revealed details of the filming, KRon news channel reported from the set of the shooting.
Lauren Machado of the San Francisco Film Commission dished about the filming and which locations the movie will be filming at to the publication. "From 9 p.m. Monday to 4 a.m. Tuesday, crews will be filming around California Street and Powell Street downtown, using stunt cars and motorized cable cars to create chaotic city scenes," she said.
She also revealed that the film will be shot after 10 p.m., and the producers had to get approval from the residents and businesses in the area.
"They'll also film on Mission Street between First and Second streets from around 11 p.m. to the early morning. That area, unlike California and Powell, will be closed to shoot a scene in which extras flee 'something computer-generated,'" Machado said.
Arnold Schwarzenegger will be reprising his role as the iconic cyborg in Terminator: Genesis. The movie is being directed by Alan Taylor and also stars Jai Courtney, who will be playing Kyle Reese, and Emilia Clarke will play Sarah Connor. Sandrine Holt (House of Cards) will be playing Detective Cheung, who will "arrest Kyle and Sarah when they arrive in 2017."
Terminator 5 is scheduled to release in July 2015.
