Nicole Richie loves her high heels and she's not giving them up.

On the next episode of her reality show Candidly Nicole, the mother of two visits a doctor and complains about pain in her foot. Yet, the conversation with her doctor delves into a personal topic.

"Everybody's taller than me," Richie, 32, tells him. "It's been an emotional rollercoaster for me. I never know. Am I going to sprout? And I've been waiting for years and it hasn't happened yet."

The 5-foot-1 star says that wearing heels helps her deal with her insecurity. As Richie's doctor appears sympathetic, he offers a solution - orthopedic shoes.

"We've got some shoes here," he says. "They are not as stylish as the ones you have currently, but they're going to take away the pain that you have... We've got to get you to stop wearing the heels."

However, Richie, a fashion designer and icon, can't hide her disgust. "But, I wear heels every day and I love them," she explains. "I have to wear heels. There are some things that you just have to do."

Hopefully Richie's doctor finds another method to ease her pain.

Candidly Nicole airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. EST on VH1.
