Could Christian Grey also be King Arthur? According to a new report, director Guy Ritchie wants Jamie Dornan for the legendary role.

Jamie Dornan Is Oscar Worthy In 'Fifty Shades,' Quips Screenwriter

The Daily Mail reported Thursday that Ritchie was "blown away" by Dornan and wanted to sign him up right away for the forthcoming set of blockbuster movies for Warner Bros.

However, Dornan's Fifty Shades of Grey shooting schedule could prove to be a problem. "Jamie is keen on the role, too, and his US agents are keen to work out a deal where he'll be able to do both franchises," a source said. "They have to convince Universal to allow Jamie to make the film with Warner Brothers, which isn't looking promising."

Why 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Release Date Change Rumor Overseas Went Viral

Dornan also reportedly wants the role because he doesn't want to be typecast after Fifty Shades of Grey. There are three books in the erotic series. Before Fifty Shades, Dornan was best known for his roles in The Fall and Once Upon a Time. He was also a model for Calvin Klein.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed this month that Dornan will star after Fifty Shades in The Siege of Jadotville. The story is about the siege of 150 U.N. Irish troops in 1961 in the Congo after pro-Western warlord Moise Tshombe took control of the Katanga region and killed the democratically elected Congolese prime minister Patrice Lamumba. That film is supposed to start shooting in Spring 2015, while Fifty Shades will come out Valentine's Day 2015.
