Michelle Rodriguez and Zac Efron not only one of the most shocking couples in Hollywood, but potentially one of the least suited for one another as well, according to new reports.

The pair, who caused heads to spin when they debuted their romance in Sardinia over the Fourth of July weekend, have spurned a batch of rumors since going public, and the latest continue to say that Efron's family and friends are worried about the influence the hard-partying 36-year-old may have on him.

Zac Efron and Michelle Rodriguez Spending Time Apart?

The 26-year-old Neighbors star had his loved ones especially concerned because he committed to keeping clean after serving two stints in rehab in 2013 for addictions to alcohol and drugs. His abuse of narcotics, reportedly including oxycodone and an experimentation with Molly, became exceedingly heavy while he filmed the raunchy comedy with Seth Rogen and sparked the rehab stays, which were kept secret until last fall.

Rodriguez has her own shady history with alcohol, receiving a DUI in 2005 after she was pulled over by cops in Hawaii; she served a short sentence in jail in 2006 as a result. She had also violated probation stemming from both a hit-and-run accident and an earlier DUI from 2003.

Rodriguez's past hasn't stopped her from partying hard since, though she has stayed out of legal trouble. Most recently she has been on an extended European vacation, starting in Ibiza where she met up with her new beau, and has since included stops in Ireland to attend a wedding, and Marbella, Spain.

The actress featured in a series of photos over the weekend, which showed her partying at Nikki Beach and posing with other partiers, including two who donned tassled bikinis and a traditional Native American headdress.

Efron headed back to the U.S. after Ibiza.
