Goldberg's mother spoke with the Chicago Sun Times Tuesday, "She went to sleep and didn't wake up."

An autopsy could not determine her cause of death. But what is known is that she spent her last moments on her computer as it was still in her lap. She was in a Wisconsin cabin owned by her family.

Stephen Collins Of '7th Heave' Under Investigate For 'Inappropriate Sexual Contact'

Goldberg, who is a Chicago native, starred in 7th Heaven as Sarah Camden, a Jewish medical student from 2002-2006. Her and Matt's marriage was a turning point for the family who was recognized for their Christian beliefs. She got her start as an extra on My Best Friend's wedding starring Julia Roberts and Dermot Mulroney.

Her mother added that her role on the family-oriented series 7th Heaven was related to her real-life career goals.

"She wanted to go to medical school, and instead for three years she played a doctor on '7th Heaven.'"

Services have already been held for the actress, who is also survived by her brother Bradley, the newspaper site reported.

Goldberg also had appearances in Jurassic Park III, House and Judging Amy. News of her unfortunate death comes just a day after Stephen Collins, who played the infamous father on the show, came under fire for sexual contact with underaged girls.

A tape of Collins admitting to the crime was released and went viral.

The story concerning that report is still developing.
