Hannibal and Will's relationship fell apart at the end of "Mizumono," and television's creepiest stag died along with it. Now series creator Bryan Fuller and his team of writers have cooked up a new metaphorical beast to inflict new nightmares upon unsuspecting viewers.

"FANTASTIC #HANNIBAL SPFX CREATOR FRANCOIS DEGENAIS JUST SHOWED ME A MAQUETTE OF THE CRAZIEST CREATURE FROM WILL GRAHAM'S SUBCONSCIOUS YET," Fuller tweeted on Thursday.

This new addition doesn't mean that he stag is gone completely, however.

"We're going to see the Stag Man, the Windego; but...it feels like we're looking for what our next kind of psychological symbol is because if that was about their relationship in season 1 and season 2 and he watched it die, it feels like it should die and be born again as something else," Fuller said, according to Seat 42F.
