Captain Flint and John Silver will have some more drama at sea in 2016.

Black Sails has been greenlit for a third season on Starz, Enstars.com has learned. The news of the pirate drama's renewal comes just months before season two will premiere.

“The incredible world that Jon Steinberg and Robert Levine have created continues to unfold in season two. Flint’s journey is riveting, and around him, Jon and Robert have woven an intricate web of conflict, betrayal, and redemption for the other characters that we believe will keep fans of the show coming back for more,” Starz managing director Carmi Zlotnik said in a statement. “We think that season three will bring even more of the drama and lore that has made it a hit both in the U.S. and internationally.”

It shouldn't come as much of a surprise that the show was renewed. The first season of Black Sails set a record for the network as it debuted to 2.6 million viewers in its opening weekend in January 2014. The show continued to bring in around 5.3 million viewers per episode.

Die Another Day actor Toby Stephens stars on the hit show as "the brilliant and unstoppable" Captain Flint. Luke Arnold plays John Silver while Hannah New stars as "the beautiful and determined" Eleanor Guthrie. Rising star Jessica Parker Kennedy, who appeared in the 90210 reboot, portrays Max, "a young prostitute with an eye towards advancement."

Season two of Black Sails will premiere on Jan. 24, 2015 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Starz.
