Funny man Jim Carrey has been tapped to host an upcoming episode of NBC's hit series Saturday Night Live.

Fans can catch the Dumb & Dumber To star on their small screen on Oct. 25. This will be the first time he is hitting the Saturday Night Live stage as a host since 2011. But he is most known for his hilarious role in the variety comedy series In Living Color back in the early 1990s.

That show went on for five seasons. He went on to snag six Golden Globe nominations and two Golden Globes Awards for his parts in The Truman Show and Man on the Moon. Fancy rapper Iggy Azalea will also get time on the show as a performer. She revealed via Twitter what song she will rap.

"In other news: my next single is BEG FOR IT ft. MO & I'm performing it for the first time on SNL. So excited!!!!" she tweeted Friday.

Fans took to their Twitter pages to reveal their excitement of Carrey hosting the show and thoughts of Iggy Azalea performing.

One wrote, "Its about...To go down".

A second fan added, "I'd prefer if Iggy Azalea hosted & Jim Carrey was the musical guest on next week's #SNL".

Still, one was convinced it would be nothing but laughter during the episode.

"Jim Carrey is hosting SNL Oct. 25. AHHHHH omg I'm gonna be crying laughing during that I just know it."

Another fan hoped Carrey would channel his inner Iggy and tweeted, "If Jim Carrey doesn't dress up as Iggy Azalea I will be shocked. SHOCKED I SAY! #SNL".

Carrey's hosting gig will come just before the highly anticipated theater release of the Dumb & Dumber sequel slated to debut on November 14.
