Gabby Douglas ended her London 2012 Olympic performance with a disappointing fall on the women's gymnastics balance beam final today.

The audience gasped as Douglas landed on a leap, her right foot missed the beam and she fell onto it, hanging underneath. She finished in seventh place in the competition with a score of 13.6.

China's Deng Linlin and Sui Lu took the gold and silver medals respectively at the Women's Beam final. Team USA's Aly Raisman won the bronze.

Yesterday, Douglas also made a big mistake at the uneven bars that put her in last place.

In an interview with reporters, Douglas admitted that she got drained from the Games.

"My mind was there but it wasn't there like it was for the all-around finals and team finals,'' Douglas said. "I'm not going to lie. It was hard to regain your focus. You get so drained. My mind wasn't mentally there.''

Douglas became the first African American gymnast to ever win the all-around title, which is considered to be the most coveted medal in gymnastics at the London Olympics 2012.

Raisman won the gold medal at the Woman's Floor exercise today, closing the gymastic events of the olympics.
