Perception fans continue to express their dismay over the show’s cancellation via social media.

On Sunday, one fan asked lead actor Eric McCormack if anything can be done to save the show. The 51-year-old said fans can possibly make an attempt to help the show find a new network.

The show which premiered on TNT in 2012 stars McCormack as Dr. Daniel Pierce, a schizophrenic neuropsychiatrist helping the FBI solve complicated cases in Chicago. The cast also includes Kelly Rowan, Scott Wolf, Levar Burton and Rachel Leigh Cook.

"A sad day: Daniel Pierce will lecture no more. Thank you #Perception fans, and our great crew, for 3 amazing seasons. Shoulda been more..." McCormack tweeted on Nov. 13 after the show was cancelled.

Perception's third season has been averaging 2.7 million total viewers, a decrease from the previous seasons. The first season brought in 4.2 million viewers while season two averaged 3 million.

The series marks the third TNT show the network cancelled this year. First Dallas was axed in October and then Franklin & Bash got the boot in November.

The final episode of Perception will air on Feb. 17, 2015.
