Former Playboy Playmate Colleen Shannon was reportedly arrested not for her good looks, but for attempting to smuggle an unidentified male from the Canadian border into the United States.

The foreign individual she attempted to illegally assist is said to be Shannon's boyfriend, but no confirmation has been made as of yet, according to TMZ, 

The 34-year-old is currently locked up behind bars in the Clinton County Jail in Upstate New York. She could reportedly face a maximum prison sentence of 10 years if found guilty of the crime.   

Shannon was Playboy magazine's 50th anniversary playmate and was also Playboy's Playmate of the Month for January 2004. 

As of late, Shannon mainly makes her living working as a DJ, performing at venues, clubs and events. She also made an appearance on "How I Met Your Mother" back in 2009.

The former model standout posted the following statement on her DJ Colleen Shannon website:

"If I can make a living off of art for the rest of my life I will be a happy girl."
