Young and the Restless star Beau Kazer has passed away at the age of 63.

The actor, who starred on the long-running CBS soap opera as Brock Reynolds, reportedly died in his sleep in Thousand Oaks, California on Dec. 30.

Kazer is survived by his wife, photographer Sharon Alkus, who told The Hollywood Reporter that her husband was in the middle of writing a book titled Adventures in Honkerville.

“Sadly, he was almost done,” she said. “I will type up the remainder of the chapters and dedicate it: ‘To Beau Kazer, a truly loving human being, one I hope to meet again someday.'”

Alkus also said that Kazer was dealing with health issues for the past two years.

“The Young and the Restless has lost another of its own… RIP Beau Kazer (Brock) I remember the first time I heard your voice and thought wow! This guy should have been in radio! Then I watched u act and was blown away with how natural and honest your performances always were. God Bless,” his co-star Daniel Goddard, who plays Cane Ashby, wrote on Facebook on Jan. 6.

Fellow co-star Doug Davidson, who stars as private investigator Paul Williams, wrote, “It is with great sadness to share the news that Beau Kazer (Brock) passed away on December 30th in Thousand Oaks, California. Sweet man.”
