Bill Cosby was the victim of his fifth death rumor on Monday, as the Twitter world had been buzzing over his apparent passing on Aug. 27th.  However, the 73-year-old former "Cosby Show" standout is indeed alive and well.

Some of the recent bogus death tweets posted on Aug. 28th were as follows:

"RIP Bill Cosby. Always my favorite actor," posted Saint Matthew.

"RIP Bill Cosby!! u will forever be remembered, I grew up listening to ur music, I even got Ur album thriller, I love u," Hakeem Muhammad had tweeted

Fortunately, there were several Twitter users who immediately took the time to clarify the controversial but serious matter.

"BILL COSBY IS NOT DEAD!! I REPEAT, HE IS NOT DEAD! ONCE AGAIN, HE IS NOT DEAD. HOLD UP, ONE MORE TIME...HE....IS....NOT...DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,"  stated an unknown user.

"Bill Cosby is alive. Stop with the death hoaxing. It's not even funny," Kevin C. Johnson tweeted.

The funny man actually spoke to CNN as far back as Aug. 3,2010 to address the seemingly non-stop death hoax:

"I don't want [whoever spread the rumor] to do this anymore, because this is my fourth time being reported [dead].  I don't know.  Maybe a psychiatrist will say I'm feeding [the rumor starter's] ego, but I just want to say to friends of that person: Just tell him to stop, because it isn't funny."

Bill Cosby was last seen on the short-lived appisode web television series "OBKB," where he would interview children throughout the United States.  However, he currently tours the comedy circuit with his stand-up routine.
