Supernatural will give Sam a blast from the past before season 10 comes to a close.

Teenage Dean To Return On 'Supernatural'; Find Out When & See A Clip Of The Young Winchester

The past - and the dead - has an uncanny way of popping up when the Winchester's are around. With Rowena (Ruth Connell), Claire (Kathryn Love Newton), and Cole (Travis Wade) dredging up old connections to Crowley (Mark Sheppard), Castiel (Misha Collins), and Dean's (Jensen Ackles) lives, Sam (Jared Padalecki) is currently the only main character to avoid an encounter with any former acquaintances.

His luck won't last for long, however.

'Supernatural' To Change Time Slots, When Will Move Take Place?

"The coy answer would be yes, but not in the way you're asking," executive producer Jeremy Carver told IGN of Sam's upcoming problem. "Sam will have to deal with someone from his past but not necessarily like everyone else. That's the best answer I can give you."

Carver left the details rather hazy, but there is at least one episode the EP could be referring to. "About a Boy" will bring teenage Dean back into Sam's world, and that encounter would certainly throw the younger Winchester back a few years.

However, there might be a bigger storyline on the horizon. For those viewers who feel the spotlight appears to be skirting Sammy this season, a Sam-centric storyline would provide a nice change of pace.
