This will be the seventh time that Turkey and Estonia have met on the soccer field. The Turkish national team took victories in three out of six matches, while the other three ended in a draw.

Both teams are coming off losses in the first round of play. Estonia fell, 2-0, to Romania in the opener of the ten-game series on Friday, while Turkey took a 2-0 loss to the Netherlands on that same day.

The match against the Netherlands was the first for Turkey's new coach, Abdullah Avci. Leading up to that game, Turkey's staff touted the "new spirit" that would work to the team's advantage.

Turkey midfielder Nuri Şahin told reporters before facing the Netherlands that he feels sure Turkey will see action in the 2014 World Cup after many improvements.

"We have come a long way to become a team," he said.

Şahin added that there is competition to be the best among Turkish players in a friendly rivalry that makes the team better.

"We all want to play, and each and every one of us will do his best if given the chance," he said.
