That changed on Thursday when E! News reported that the couple do not know the sex of their baby yet.

Following the false gender reveal reports, the palace took time out to tell E!, "The couple do not know what the sex of the baby is!"

Their statement did not go beyond that.

All of the rumors stem from OK! Magazine reporting that palace insiders revealed that the Duke and Dutchess of Cambridge will be welcoming a baby girl named Diana.

"Kate and William found out they were expecting a girl during the 21-week scan, and since then, everyone's been asking what they plan to name her," the source said.

The reasoning behind choosing the name Diana, according to the source, is that the two wanted Diana's legacy of charity work to live on.

"They decided then and there that no matter what anyone said, they were sticking to naming their baby girl after her late grandmother," the source said.

Middleton is nearly seven months pregnant.
