This Thursday marks Jeremy Gilbert's departure from Mystic Falls on The Vampire Diaries.

Caroline & Stefan Finally Kiss On 'The Vampire Diaries,' Plus Jeremy Leaves Mystic Falls

Back in January, Entertainment Weekly got word that Steven R. McQueen would be leaving the supernatural hit series as Jeremy.

The executive producer of the show, Julie Plec, said, "It's time for him to go out and live his life and we're actually going to say goodbye to Steven R. McQueen as a series regular," adding, "He's growing up and moving on. He will be out living a real life."

Did Nina Dobrev Ice Out Ian Somerhalder On The Set Of 'The Vampire Diaries' While He Directed?

The episode is called Stay and on Monday TVLine revealed a clip, in which Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) reveal to Jeremy that they used their vampire ways of compulsion to make it so he could graduate and leave Mystic Falls.

"We helped the process along," Elena said in the clip when Jeremy asks about how they managed to make it so he could graduate.

Damon even shares how horrible of a student Jeremy has been; missing countless days of school, failing practically every class and not even being able to spell the word "cat".

Damon and Jeremy even have an oddly adorable bonding moment that ends with Damon joking about killing Jeremy again if he tells his sister what Damon gave him.

Plus, the official Twitter for the show just released a trailer today, Feb. 10, made up of many Jeremy scenes over the years.

"It's time to say goodbye," the show's Twitter posted.
