If you want to get your iPhone 5 before it hits shelves, preorder is available starting Sept. 14, but do it fast because some reports are already claiming that carriers may be sold out before the weekend is over.

Customers could preorder with American carriers Sprint, AT&T and Verizon starting Friday at 3 a.m. and Apple presale began at 12 a.m. Shipping dates vary depending on location of delivery.

With a two-year contract, the iPhone 5 will $199 for the 16GB model, $299 for 32GB and $399 for 64GB.

There will also be a discount in the price of the older iPhone. Apple is reducing the iPhone 4S by $100 for the 16GB, retailing for $99 instead of $199 with a two-year contract, according to The Huffington Post. They also reported that the 16GB iPhone 4 will be given away for free for those who sign contracts with mobile carriers.

According to the Christian Post, Apple has posted phone plans for users to scan and see which fits them best. Share plans start at $60 a month for 2G of data and can go up to $100 for higher versions, according to the publication. For each smartphone added to the family plan, an extra $40 will be charged.

Apple called the iPhone 5 "The biggest thing to happen to iPhone since iPhone." Millions tuned in to the Apple event on Wednesday to see the company's CEO, Tim Cook, unveil to the public the high-anticipated and widely rumored iPhone 5, which has been the buzz of the summer in the tech world. Cook also introduced a new set of iPod Touchs.

Though they do not provide preorders, mobile subsidiary carrier Cricket announced this week that they will be selling the iPhone 5 starting Sept. 28 with no long term contract agreement attached to the sale.
