If their first match for the 2012 UEFA Champions League trophy, Chelsea will go up against the Italian leagye Juventus on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 2:45 p.m. ET.
Chelsea will be hosting the game and they will not want to lose in front of their home crowd. They won all six of their Champions League home games last season and the last time they went up against Juventus, they won 3-2. They were also victorious 7-9 in their last group matchups in the Champions League campaign, according to Goal.com.
However, the site also reported that Juventus is one of the two teams to ever win the Champions League while hosting. They are currently on a streak of 42-match wins in Serie A, going back to the 2010-11 season.
The 2011 UEFA Champions Final was a match of Barcelona and Manchester United, both teams having won the title three times previously. They also went against each other in the 2009 final held in Rome, where Barcelona won 2-0. Barcelona won that day their fourth Champions title.

Barcelona, Spain hosts Moscow in Camp Nou in their opening Group G match of the 2012 UEFA Champions League on Sept. 19.
Spartak's head coach is Unai Emery. He was the Spanish coach of Valencia from 2008 to 2012 and though he knows the territory, he has never led a victory over Barcelona before, according to SB Nation. He took over the Moscow team in May.
Barcelona is highly anticipated to win Wednesday's game; they have not lost a home European competition since October 2009, the site also reported. They also just came off of their 4-1 victory over Getafe on Saturday.
