The first season of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" ended on Wednesday night with a new addition to the family.

The last episode of the season saw the birth of Baby Kaitlyn, the child of the eldest daughter Anna, or "Chickadee" as she's known to the family.

The hit TLC show which centers on Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson and her family has become a phenomenon.

The rest of the episode focused on the family as they gathered for a family portrait. The summer heat of Georgia didn't stop them, but it did cause Honey Boo Boo's makeup to start smearing. The photographer tries to get through the session with June "Mama" Shannon belching and talking about her perspiration saying: "I'm sweatin' like a whore in church. Man, I'm takin' a bath in my own sweat."

The show follows with a brief segment of Honey Boo Boo getting ready for a beauty pageant when Chickadee begins to start her labor.  The young pageant comments on the approaching situation saying, "It's gonna smell like sunshine and happiness...or poop."

The baby was born on July 26, weighing 6 pounds, 3 ounces, and an extra thumb caused by a genetic defect. Grandpa Sugar Bear gets emotional saying that it "reminds me of a Swiss Army Knife." Mama commented that "at least she don't have a cone head like most natural-born babies."

"Mama" Shannon commented to Radar Online on Tuesday about what medical decisions she's going to take with her granddaughter's extra digit.

"The doctor doesn't want to do anything right now because they don't know the full function of the other thumb or if they're both connected," said Shannon. She went on saying: "They don't want to do it too early, if they cut one off the other could have paralysis or it could make the other fingers not work, so they don't want to make any rash decisions."

With the show bringing in over two million viewers for last week's episode, the cast is reportedly talking with TLC to try and double their salary if they're going to continue with a second season.
