Kelsey Grammer, star of the show "Boss," has made several jabs at his ex-wife Camille Grammer, but he appeared remorseful during his Sept. 26 interview on "Anderson Live."

He admitted to Anderson Cooper that he did not handle his divorce from Camille in the best manner. This is a big step for Kelsey, who recently told Conan O'Brien that he and Camille "hadn't had sex for a decade."

Camille was a cast member of the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and on the show, Kelsey acted extremely detached from her, especially, when she flew to New York City with her friends to support him at the premiere of his Broadway musical.

"Did you ever regret any of those scenes you were in?" Cooper asked. "Because some of them were very awkward."

"Yeah, yeah," the actor told Anderson. "I was trying to pretend things were normal for the sake of somehow letting her have that moment. It was just ill advised. It was the wrong decision and I should have come home from England when I first met Kayte and just said, 'Listen I've met somebody and this hasn't been working for a long time.' "

Kelsey married his fourth wife, Walsh, two weeks after his 2011 divorce from Camille was finalized.

"I regret not (telling Camille)," Kelsey said. "I thought I could do something nice, some parting thing and so yeah it was very painful and uncomfortable. It was uncomfortable for Kayte, it was uncomfortable for all of us."

Kelsey has been known to gripe about Camille. He told Oprah Winfrey that he thought he owed her "fame" and got her a spot on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."

"Because she'd given up so much to endure this life with me," Kelsey said sarcastically, according to the Daily Mail.

Camille, however, told HLN's Joy Behar that if her reality show fame was a gift then, "thank you, Kelsey, for the gift of humiliation for the first season."

The former Playboy model, who has since moved on to bankruptcy lawyer Dimitri Charalambopoulos, has said the first season was horrible because Grammer left her for Walsh while she was filming.

In the past, Camille made public allegations that her former husband was a cross-dresser and that they "just didn't mesh sexually."

"He didn't want to cuddle," Camille has said. "[He was] too busy watching FOX News!"
