50 Cent has been relatively lowkey in recent years but the night the 2012 Bet Hip Hop Awards was taped, the rapper kept himself busy from the moment he arrived.

The Queens native made headlines the day after the awards ceremony was taped on Saturday, Sept. 29.

He allegedly starting a beef backstage with rapper P.Diddy and sent his G-Unit crew to beat Rick Ross' affiliate Gunplay outside of the award show venue.

A video has surfaced which shows 50 Cent and his entourage get into an altercation with Gunplay.

In the video, obtained by WorldStar Hiphop, 50 Cent is walking to the venue with his crew in tow, and a fight suddenly begins and Gunplay is slammed into a metal barricade during the fracas. In the footage, Gunplay is clearly attacked by several men at once. He eventually stood up to recover from the group beating. In the clip, someone is heard yelling, "That was 50 fighting too!"

Gunplay told TMZ that 50 Cent was there but he did not fight, he was too busy "hiding behind security."

In a radio interview with New York's Power 105's Breakfast Club, Gunplay said, "I stood up in the paint, like a real G supposed to, with five bodyguards that's trained to kill a human."

When TMZ asked 50 Cent for his version of events, he simply stated that BET "gave out awards."

Later, when 50 Cent made his way inside the venue, he reportedly initiated a fight with P.Diddy.

According to a report, the two were initially joking and play fighting until 50 decided to take on a more serious approach to the matter. 50 allegedly stepped a little too close to Diddy's face giving the impression to witnesses that he wanted to start a real fight. According to an onlooker, Diddy said "I'm too money for this" and walked away before a real fight ensued.
