If NeNe Leakes has her way, Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta will be what it was originally intended to be -- real housewives.

Leakes, who is the only cast member left from season 1, appeared on Live With Kelly & Michael Monday morning.

"They need to get rid of some folks. Everybody who ain't married. The show is called 'The Housewives' isn't it? So you need to be married to be on the show. They should recast."

She added that the series has taken a "negative" turn since its debut season. Still, she isn't completely against single ladies holding a peach.

"I don't mind if there's like one girl who's not married because it's always fun to see a single girl dating."

Right now the single ladies of the show are Kenya Moore, Claudia Jordan and Porsha Williams (who was married when she first joined the show but got a divorce).

She also said she believes her co-stars are "jealous" of her because she's the only original cast member standing.

"Honey I am a threat and they are mad. Everybody wants to knock the queen off her throne, but she's not going anywhere."

But she still wouldn't confirm if she's returning for season 8. Leakes also touched on her new friendship with Phaedra Parks. The two grew close after Parks' husband Apollo Nida faced legal issues that resulted in him being sentenced to eight years in federal prison. Leakes was a huge support for Parks.

"I think some people got mad about that. I don't see anything wrong that. She was going through a rough time. I know what it feels like to go through a divorce. So I was just trying to be there for her while she was going through a divorce."
