The fallout from Avengers: Age of Ultron will ensure that one member of the Agents of SHIELD family will be six-feet under before the finale's end.

'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Won't Feature Coulson, Agent Still 'Dead'; Joss Whedon Explains

The ABC series will close out its sophomore run with "SOS" and "SOS: Part 2," the later of which will pile on to the season's funeral pyre.

"A secret revealed in [The Avengers: Age of Ultron] changes many key relationships on SHIELD and repositions the conflict between Coulson and Gonzales," executive producer Jeffery Bell told TV Guide Magazine. "It leads to a major decision regarding the Inhumans, one that assures not everyone is leaving the finale alive."

'Captain America 3' Scarlet Witch: Elizabeth Olsen Announces 'Civil War' Role, Who Will She Join?

Sadly, viewers will have to wait until May 1 to find out what tidbit Earth's Mightiest Heroes will unveil, although Bell assures fans that the upcoming Avengers outing will not impact the series as drastically as last years Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

In other words, don't expect SHIELD to come crashing to it's knees once more. There will, however, be a finale clash between Coulson's SHIELD, SHIELD 2.0, and the Inhumans.

"We will leave you with a little catharsis, a little emotion, a litter mystery," Bell teased. "Blend it together lightly and have a nice summer."

Something tells us the hiatus will be anything but "nice."
