Their attempts at being a couple have had more interruptions and problems arise than either one was prepared for, and after yet another fight, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Daniel (Shawn Christian) may find themselves ready to officially call it quits on their romance on Days of Our Lives.  

Daniel and Jennifer Clash Over JJ"s Secret

Since the two decided to give in to their feelings for one another, their several attempts to be a true couple have been stalled by both keeping secrets from one another and somehow still being involved in their ex's lives. Now, that could hurt them once again.  

Daniel has ended things with Nicole several times over her constant clashes with Serena (Melissa Archer), who has been dating Eric (Greg Vaughan) since she came back to town. Nicole has been suspicious of the new woman in her former fiance's life since the day she arrived in town, but hasn't been able to prove that any of her suspicious behaviors were actually moments where she was doing something wrong. As a result, her non-stop attempts to prove Serena as a fraud, coupled with the two rarely crossing paths without it turning into a brawl has strained Daniel's patience with Nicole. Firmly believing that she still wants Eric despite all of her protests stating the opposite, he could finally find another attempt to prove Serena as no good to be the last straw.

However, Nicole has had her own issues with Daniel's involvement with Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), and the obvious secret he is keeping for her, which he refuses to share. That has had Nicole convinced that a part of him still wants his own ex, though he and Jennifer both chose to move on with their lives for good some time ago. After Daniel once again refuses to share what he knows (about JJ's --Casey Moss--affair with Eve--Kassie DePaiva--) it could cause Nicole to be the one to walk out the door for good.  

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
