Reports that Amanda Bynes might make a career comeback with an appearance on a future season of ABC's Dancing with the Stars may have been greatly exaggerated.

Amanda Bynes Reemerges On Twitter

According to Gossip Cop, reports in Star magazine that the 29-year-old was in talks for the reality hit's next season were false, and no such talks are even in process for the 21st season this fall, let alone with Bynes.

According to the original report, a show insider says Bynes was considering doing the show as a comeback if the right price was offered.

Amanda Bynes Remains Under Parents' Conservatorship

"Amanda has been talking to ABC about doing the show next season. The producers think she'd be perfect," the source said. "While Amanda has said no to reality TV before, our source says she is seriously considering it...if the price is right."

"If there's any reality show to be on, it's this one," the 'insider' added. "They pay some stars $300,000 season. Everyone thinks Amanda is nuts, but she's excited to change how the world sees her."

However, according to Gossip Cop's sources however, Bynes (and no one else) are actually in negotiations with the hit show, with talks for the fall season still a ways away (the show is still in the midst of its 20th season).

Gossip Cop maintains that reports claiming Bynes, Bruce Jenner (who recently confirmed he was transgender), and Nina Dobrev (who exits her show The Vampire Diaries after this season) were all headed to the show are all indeed false.
