The May 9 event will air live from Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas starting at 9 p.m. ET.
The evenings main card will see Canelo Alvarez and James Kirkland enter the ring. No titles are on the line in this welterweight match.
Canelo Alvarez comes into the bout with a 44-1-1 record. Hailing from Mexico, Santos Saúl Alvarez Barragán has racked up 31 knockouts and 13 decisions. Alvarez has not fought since last July when he defeated Erislandy Lara at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.
James Kirkland will stroll into the ring with a 32-1 record and 28 knockouts. Also known as Mandingo Warrior, the American southpaw has not participated in a match since December 2013. At the time, Kirkland took down Glen Tapia at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J.
