iZombie's Ravi is nearing a break through when it comes to curing the undead, but that doesn't mean his research will provide Liv with a concoction she'll actually want to take.

Before Ravi (Rahul Kohli) discovered that his coworker was secretly snacking on the job, Liv )Rose McIver) hadn't even considered the possibility that a return to the land of the living was even possibly. Now, however, normalcy is a hair's breath away.

"There is a lot of promise," McIver said of Ravi's rat trials, according to Entertainment Weekly. "I don't think they know necessarily how to fine tune it. There may be side effects from whatever the cure is. Who knows how foolproof that may be."

Will these doubts keep Liv from trying to abandon her waxy skin and glowing red eyes? Viewers will be able to examine the cure more thoroughly in the season 1 finale, which is titled "Blaine's World."

"After discovering new evidence in the Max Rager case, Liv and Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) pay a visit to Vaughn Du Clark (guest star Steven Weber) at Max Rager HQ," The CW said of the June 6 episode. "Ravi continues his search for a cure. Meanwhile, Blaine (David Anders) makes Liv an offer she can't refuse. Lastly, Major (Robert Buckley) finds himself in an unbelievable situation."

Sounds like viewers - and Liv - will have plenty to mull over as the freshman series heads into its first summer hiatus. Find out more when iZombie airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW. Click the video below to see a preview for the series' next episode, "Astroburger."
