The 100 will continue one particular zero to hero journey as season 3 begins.

The City of Light quest took John Murphy (Richard Harmon) from unabashed villain to unexpected moral compass and, as The CW's post apocalyptic drama prepares to head into it's third season, Harmon believes his character has reached a new level.

"In my heart he never needed to be redeemed. I always loved him. I got what he was doing. I get it. I supported it from day one," Harmon told Classicalite.

However, Murphy needed to make some major changes if the Sky People, and viewers, were to see him in a new light.

"I think in the eyes of everyone else, certainly in the first season, I didn't think that he would ever be 'redeemed.' And I was fine with him not being redeemed," Harmon said. "I am honored that people are coming around and sort of liking him now. I glad people can see what I saw, which is great."

As season 3 begins, Murphy is in an extremely peculiar position. Unaware of the hologram that runs the so-called City of Light, Murphy has discovered that the unseen AI was responsible for Earth's little nuclear nightmare 97 years prior.

Will Murphy make the right moves now that he has this dangerous bit of info, or will his semi-redemption unravel?
